KVS

Public conversation: freedom of speech in the arts

On 15 May, a wide range of cultural organisations will gather at KVS BOX BAR for a sector event, organised by the organisation Towards Apartheid Free Zones in collaboration with KVS, in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

As part of our commitment to becoming an apartheid-free zone, we want to join forces to amplify our efforts, evaluate the impact we create together, and inquire about how colleagues handle the (growing) potential for artistic censorship. How can we support artists who are impacted by the conflict? How can a cultural organisation ‘de-invest’ further? We want to brainstorm about sector-wide artistic action (think Gaza Monologues). The date for this event is no coincidence: on 15 May, we commemorate the 76th anniversary of the Nakba. Join us at KVS between 12pm and 4pm. Please confirm your attendance using this form.
