Dear chef,

KVS doesn’t only welcome artists and spectators, but chefs too! Since January 1st 2018, Brussels city theatre KVS has been home to pop-up restaurant Café Congo. Every six to eight weeks, a new chef is given the chance to surprise our audiences with their favourite dishes. So far we have been honoured to welcome South African chef James Martin, Thai food lover Vincent Bockx and Palestine cuisine specialist Nicole Petit to our kitchen. The chefs get to expand their experience, and the audience savours it with delight.

KVS offers the pop-up chefs its kitchen and infrastructure (electricity and water included). Our two floor staff welcome guests and make sure drinks and service are impeccable. We offer 30 covers in the restaurant, with a possibility to expand to 60. During the summer months we also open up our lovely sunny terrace, with an additional 30 covers. The kitchen is open from Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) between 12pm and 2.30pm. KVS takes care of the drinks menu. The chef is responsible for the food stockage, sets the menu and the prices, and receives the complete profits.
