FrontX broaches the subject of personal resilience through the life stories of a series of extraordinary street artists. Their personal histories are intertwined into a kaleidoscopic initiation story.
As spokespersons for contemporary society, they question us about the real sense of integration. The first meaning of the word ‘integrate’ is “to make whole”, to participate in the construction of a whole on the basis of various elements. It’s this “whole”, composed of the contributions and differences of each individual, which FrontX negotiates, taking into account the multifaceted nature of humanity. What interests the creators is to expose the internal drive which lead each of these artists to specialise in their unique techniques. Resilience is a psychological phenomenon, through which a traumatised person takes on the trauma and begins to rebuild.
How do these unique individuals overcome their difficulties with the help of their creative practice? How do supposed injuries become assets?
