After decades of overfishing, the world tuna industry is now entering the waters off Papua New Guinea. By means of the creation of the country’s first “Special Economic Zone”, supported by the European Union, multinationals are destroying the traditional lifestyles of indigenous tribes. Does this type of development bring prosperity or poverty?
