Land's end

Berlin

- But I am not guilty; that is a mistake. Anyway, how can anyone actually be guilty?
After all, we are all human, the one as good as the other.
- That’s right, but that’s the way the guilty usually talk.

[The Trial, Franz Kafka]

In Land’s End, those involved in a cross-border murder case are brought back together again years later. Berlin stages the confrontation between a French hired killer and his Flemish client. A bilingual play with a French actor, a Dutch-speaking actress, 7 installations and 5 screens that interact with one another.

In its characteristic docu-fiction style, Berlin focuses on borders and language issues, and how they can both be transgressed.
