The Dialogue Series sees the Congolese choreographer Faustin Linyekula returning to the city of his birth, Kisangani, following the death of a close friend. What has happened to the residents of the city? What are they still able to dream of today, a few years after the civil war? On stage, the actors and dancers of Studios Kabako allow themselves to be carried along by the wonderful voice of countertenor Serge Kakudji, who last year gave a sparkling performance in Alain Platel’s pitié! To music from Mozart’s Requiem, they tell the story of a return to the land of one’s birth, a requiem of words and dreams in order to finally be able to close a chapter of one’s life.
