In French, ‘orchidée’ stands for both the flower and ‘eternity’. Pippo Delbono sets to work with that metaphor. The line between life and death, between truth and lies is paper-thin. This creation grew from the vast emptiness left behind after his mother’s death. By wondering what death really is, Delbono can’t escape that other, ultimately more important question: what is life?
