The writer and amateur geologist was concerned with the problem of truth. The characters that populate his novels are confronted with the limits of the knowable, ending up in alienating situations. His darkly poetic, nihilistic universe is dug over by Werktoneel and linked to present-day thinkers. A soundscape based on the sounds of heavy industry (including mining, machinery and the chemical industry) colours the production. After the lonely isolation of Solipsists (2022), Werktoneel is now opting to work as a group.
