Jhaya is an afroqueer and non-binary Bruxellois. He is passionate about many dance styles, but especially about vogue or voguing, a dance from the ballroom scene. 

Jahja is an active player in the first generation of Brussels voguers and in the association For All Queens.

He performs regularly, mainly during LGBTQI + evenings organized by Rituals Benediction under his alter ego: Jhaya la Vogue. He is also part of the Melting Pot group, founded by the dancer, choreographer and teacher Marco Torrice who combines party, performance and jam. He also performs and gives workshops during the Sassy Cabaret at the Pride Festival. He belongs to various LGBTQI + organisations such as Alter Visio and LaGarçionniere Prod.
