Sarah Deppe

Time Out

Sarah Deppe is a dancer and performer. She has been dancing since she was a child. She was part of the Junior Ballet at the Lille conservatory.

Sarah worked with various dance companies as an autodidact. In 2019 she was admitted to the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, where she is currently completing a master’s degree in choreography.

For Time Out she is collaborating with Thimothée Chams Yaddolahi. Coming from a background in urban and contemporary dance, he started the Training Cycle at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels in 2016. He also creates electronic music for various performers.

In Time Out, the body surrenders to an omnipresent temporariness. Notions of arrangement, adaptation, harmonisation and programming intermingle in this intense dialogue between a performer and a sound designer. From improvisations to a beat, these two aesthetes of time develop a unique composition method: an attempt to master timing in a space outside of time.
