Zediam

Zediam is a rapper, producer, songwriter, sound engineer and workshop teacher.

You might know him as the English-speaking multi-talent in Soul’Art, the trilingual hip hop collective that managed to garner over two million Spotify streams with its album ‘Granny’s ResEP’.

Soul’Art brought Zediam to every noteworthy stage in the country. The group won ‘Rookie of the year’ at the 2015 Flemish rap awards, which led to a 2016 record deal with Top Notch Universal. Zed performed as a supporting artist for the Dutch rapper Fresku, both solo and with Soul’Art. With his fellow band members, he also wrote two tracks for ‘Black’, the film by Adil El Arbi en Bilall Fallah.

Besides his work as a vocalist, lyricist and sound engineer, Zed also works as a creative writing teacher for organisations like Urban Woorden, H30 and ROJM. Since 2017, he has been a member of the funk band ‘Selder’, who won the audience award at ‘De Zes’ in 2018.
