Charo Calvo

Charo Calvo studied physics at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid. She was an active member of the theatre company of the university and became a dancer after an unexpected workshop given by an American dancer of the Martha Graham Company in Madrid in 1980. In 1987 she moved to Brussels as a founding member of the dance company Ultima Vez directed by Wim Vandekeybus. 

She started her studies on Electro Acoustic Composition at the Conservatoire de Mons. Since then she has collaborated as a composer and sound designer with many Belgian and international dance and theater companies as Ultima Vez, les ballets C de la B, Jan Fabre Troubleyn, De Roovers, Haugen Productions, Lotte van den Berg, Iztok Kovač,...

She collaborated with Bahar Temiz on ICE & PUNKT.
