Kopano Maroga

Kopano is a South African performance artist, writer, cultural worker, and co-founder of the socio-cultural arts organisation ANY BODYZINE. Kopano lives in Brussels and is a curator and dramaturge at the Arts Centre VIERNULVIER in Ghent.

Their academic background is in dance and social anthropology (BSocSci) and theatre and performance (MA). Their present interests lie at the intersection of art, social justice, and healing knowledge systems. Their current research is in the potential of disidentification and biomythography as tools for destabilizing rigid identity theory. They very much believe in the power of love as a weapon of mass construction.
