Koen De Preter

Tender Men

Tender Men is a dance performance about men and sensitivities. About the fearlessness, beauty and poetry of touch, but also about the unavoidable chaos and misunderstandings they cause.

Four men, each with their own identity and dance background, symbolise vulnerability, roughness and tenderness. With his international cast, Koen Depreter asks the question how men would interact in a world without homophobia.

Koen De Preter is a choreographer and performer. In his work, he takes risks with styles and target groups. He creates evening and school performances, creates work outside of the theatre and sets up socio-artistic projects. He is fascinated by performers of all ages and dance backgrounds. He strives for a balance between abstraction and theatrical performativity in choreography, and uses eclectic soundtracks for his creations.
