After the international successes of Malcolm X, Dear Winnie, and Who’s Tupac?, Jr.cE.sA.r was left with a bit of a hangover. Changing the world turned out to be more difficult than they thought. What can theatre mean in an overheating world that trembles under a rain of bombs? 

What can dialogue do against a backdrop that has replaced laughter with cynicism? In a city where fears and addictions seem to be stronger forces than what really unites us? In this absurd universe directed by social media, everyone has become their own hero. Amidst this idiotic idolatry, Jr.cE.sA.r presents the final instalment of its hero plays.

In R.I.S.A. (Reckless Idiots Seeking for Absolution) a carnivalesque parade of actors, writers, and musicians joins the revolution with a smile. The world is at our smiling feet, we collectively laugh in the face of it.
