A person retreats into their mind, shutting out the world. Do they want to be approached? Or rather stumbled upon by chance? Do they dream of intense connection and a multitude of glorious lives? Or do they long to be left alone, slowly fading into oblivion?

Last season, FC Bergman created an expo for the Gaasbeek Castle with a series of short films, inspired by photos that the last lady of the castle had made of herself in medieval travesty.

These film vignettes are now cause for and backbone of a new performance starring Marie Vinck, an evening of staged cinema about the wondrous but sometimes destructive power of imagination.

Curious about Gaasbeek Castle? Starting April 1st, this unique historic house will reopen its doors to visitors after the winter closure. Well worth a visit!
