Last autumn, AB & KVS teamed up for a unique (sold-out) two-day residency with “one of the greatest songwriters alive”: Bill Callahan. His stop in Brussels’ KVS was one of only a handful in European capitals. That left us wanting more—and so, AB & KVS are repeating this tour de force with two truly exceptional concerts.
Calling Beverly Glenn-Copeland “unique” might even be an understatement. This “synth-folk pioneer and transgender icon” (Pitchfork) is now 81 years old, and his appearances in Europe are incredibly rare. Adrian Younge – described by Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA as “a modern-day Quincy Jones” – has been working for years to bring his dream to life. Younge: “The Something About April Tour is the show I’ve always dreamed of bringing to life. It’s been fifteen years in the making.”
AB & KVS are proud to present:

Beverly Glenn-Copeland has fans like Robyn, Devendra Banhart, Romy (The xx), Sam Smith, and Caribou! But this Canadian singer-songwriter had to wait a long time for recognition. His moving debut Beverly Copeland dates back to 1970, and Keyboard Fantasies—his (ambient) masterpiece from 1986—will celebrate its 40th anniversary next year. It wasn’t until the 21st century that his work truly gained attention. When Keyboard Fantasies was reimagined in 2021, artists like Bon Iver and Arca rushed to contribute. The original reissue won the 2020 Polaris Heritage Prize, awarded to Classic Canadian Albums—previous winners include Neil Young and Feist. His most recent album, The Ones Ahead, was widely acclaimed: “Another mysterious milestone performed in an amplified emotional register.” (The Irish Times)
Special guest: none other than Elizabeth Copeland, theatre-maker and Glenn’s life partner (they married in 2009). Together, they believe in “the power of art to change lives.”

“He’s a genius. He’s like a modern-day Quincy Jones.” (RZA, Wu-Tang Clan)
Producer × composer × multi-instrumentalist Adrian Younge describes himself as “the next generation of soul music.” His sound feels remarkably authentic, like it’s been lifted straight from the 60s/70s—the golden era of funk and soul. Think blaxploitation film soundtracks, Marvin Gaye, and funky grooves à la The JB’s or The Meters. His music has been sampled by Kendrick Lamar and Jay-Z, and together with former A Tribe Called Quest member Ali Shaheed Muhammad, he runs the ultra-cool Jazz is Dead label.
With nearly 50 releases to his name, Younge considers his magnum opus to be the Something About April trilogy. This tour, for him, is a dream fulfilled: “The show I’ve always dreamed of bringing to life. Fifteen years in the making—it’s my magnum opus.” And how! He’ll perform his psychedelic soul trilogy live with a 10-piece ensemble.
Can we add hashtag #1 ‘unique’ and hashtag #2 ‘unmissable’?
