Accessibility

spoken language & surtitling

Because we operate in the multilingual city of Brussels, our own productions are performed in Dutch, French, English, Arabic etc., and are surtitled in one and sometimes two languages. Our ultimate aim is to provide surtitles in two languages for all productions. For each production is mentioned which language is spoken and what surtitling is planned.

people with reduced mobility

We want everyone to be able to visit KVS as comfortably and independently as possible. If you use a wheelchair, we ask you to book your tickets in advance by phone on +32 (0)2 210 11 00 or send an email to info@kvs.be. When making your reservation, please let us know whether you use a manual or electric wheelchair and whether you will remain in your wheelchair during the performance. This allows us to prepare your visit and your seat as well as possible.

To avoid any unpleasant surprises, we are pleased that the KVS buildings have been thoroughly mapped by DUX from an accessibility perspective. Below, you will find more practical information about the accessibility features and facilities available at KVS BOX and KVS BOL.

The entrance doors do not open automatically. Depending on the weather conditions, we open the doors for you in advance, so that you can enter and leave the building independently.

Would you prefer to find your way around independently, or would you rather have some assistance? Both are absolutely fine. Our front-of-house and theatre teams are happy to help whenever you need it. Feel free to contact us in advance if you have any specific needs or questions, so that we can discuss together what would work best for you.

The raised crossings between the pavements can sometimes be quite steep, making them difficult for some people to navigate independently.
