Who seeks, who finds

Temps & volunteers at KVS

A performance doesn’t come to life on stage alone. Every evening, many people make sure that artists can do their work, visitors feel welcome and everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Our volunteers and temporary staff are part of this too. People who lend a hand from time to time, roll up their sleeves and help keep the house running. Sometimes in the kitchen, sometimes welcoming and assisting our audience, but always as an essential link in the whole operation.

Whether you like keeping busy, enjoy meeting people or simply want to pitch in from time to time at a cultural venue in Brussels: at KVS, there are different ways to get involved.

WHAT DO OUR TEMPORARY STAFF & VOLUNTEERS DO?

Our volunteers are often among the first faces visitors meet at KVS. A pool of around fifteen volunteers helps out during performances and other evening activities. They welcome visitors, scan tickets, show people around the building and help ensure that performances run smoothly and safely.

They are on duty in and around the auditorium, ready to answer questions and help wherever needed. Depending on their shift, they may also attend a performance in full. Our temporary staff, meanwhile, step in wherever an extra pair of hands is needed. They can, for example, help out in the kitchen, working alongside the chef to prepare meals for artists and the team.

From preparing and reheating meals to setting everything up, serving and leaving the kitchen clean and tidy. Temporary staff can also help with preparing food for venue rentals. No dry sandwiches here: our kitchen serves everything from stews and confit carrots to halloumi burgers, vegetable couscous and white fish. Both groups are an integral part of how KVS operates and help make sure each evening runs smoothly in the house.

WANT TO PITCH IN FROM TIME TO TIME?

At KVS, you’ll join a great pool of people who each contribute in their own way to everything that happens on and around our stages. Whether it’s for a few shifts, regularly during performances or occasionally behind the scenes: every contribution helps keep the house running.

This is how you help make KVS a place where artists can create, visitors feel welcome and audiences can enjoy the experience.

We regularly look for people to join our team as front-of-house staff or as temporary kitchen staff. For front-of-house work, you must be 18 or over and speak Dutch and French. For the kitchen, we’re looking for flexible people who are happy to roll up their sleeves. No experience is required for either role.

Unfortunately, our temp team is currently full! Keep an eye on our page, because a spot might open up again sooner than you think.
