Who seeks, who finds

Próximamente Festival 2026

From 17 to 21 November 2026, Próximamente Festival returns to KVS. The 2026 edition unfolds in a world burdened by structural violence, destruction, and the return of old oppression logic in new disguises. Democracy, human rights, ecology and the arts are no longer self-evident, unambiguous concepts, but fragile territories under constant pressure.

In this current situation, which stubbornly tries to erase the past, ghost memories appear: things that were once erased, interrupted, or that never got a chance to develop. Not simply remnants of the past, but active forces that rear their heads today, resolutely working their way to the surface and creating new tensions there.

For Próximamente, we invite artists from Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and their diaspora to embody this nebulous threshold between memory and active presence. The performing arts become a space where attention and friction can coexist: a place where the invisible can take shape, where what was silenced is given a voice, and where memories are not considered a closed archive but a living, embodied experience.

For five days, KVS is completely taken over by Latin American performing artists. They invite you to exciting showcases, workshops, readings and fully-fledged performances. Featuring Aline Olmos Steler, Adriana Moreno-Cely, Amparo González Sola, Andrea Giadach, Antonio Altamirano, Camila Palao, Camilo Mejía Cortés, Catalina Insignares Martinez, Christopher Fritz Choton Penas, Claudia Poblete, Claudix Vanesix, Conquest pol Sud, Deby Kaufmann Levy, Enrique Noviello, Ester M.
