Your support makes a difference

As an open house of culture at the heart of Brussels – not just the Belgian and European capital, but also one of the most diverse cities in the world – KVS wants to be there for everyone.
Your support makes all the difference in achieving that. When you buy a ticket and add a donation, you contribute to our artistic programme and help us set up projects for young people from various communities.
How do we use your donations?
Each season, KVS produces its own creations featuring household names and up-and-coming talents and co-produces with leading national and international artists. We also create opportunities for schools, young people, and various communities to interact with artists and their work, and to get stuck into theatre themselves.

Schools programme
Over two thousand pupils visit KVS every year. We offer specific school performances, organise workshops with artists in classrooms, and create educational frameworks and support. Thanks to discounted ticket prices, we keep performances accessible for pupils and schools.

Removing barriers
We believe that access to the arts should be a basic human right. Unfortunately, many people still face (financial) hurdles. That’s why KVS supports various programmes and concession rates. Your support helps us offer these reduced prices to those who need them, making sure people from less fortunate backgrounds can also experience the arts to the fullest.

Offering opportunities to new talent
Today, Carolina Bianchi is making waves in New York, but back in the day she appeared at the biennial Próximamente festival. KVS is built on the hard work of many artists. Your support is essential in offering young talent new opportunities and supporting new creations – unfortunately, it’s an expensive affair. Your donation also directly contributes to opportunities for creating new work, which then resonates nationally and internationally.

Community programmes
Every year, KVS invests in programmes that support the community. PZAZZ Playwatch offers opportunities to new voices in theatre critique. Brussels Bijoux offers amateur artists from Brussels and the Flemish periphery a unique chance to realise their artistic dreams. During Rise Up, youngsters from the youth centre Chicago and Atheneum Etterbeek explored topics like identity, citizenship, taboos, and stereotypes. These are just some examples of programmes that bring KVS to the communities of Brussels.

Want to offer tailored support?
If you want to support KVS in a different way, or you have an idea that might help us in our operations, we are open to collaborations. Please get in touch and we’ll happily discuss your ideas over a cup of coffee.

Rent our venues
Whenever there are no artists on our stage, our venues are all yours. When you organise an event at KVS, you contribute directly to our mission and our artistic creations. You won’t just welcome your guests to one of the most scenic locations in Brussels; you’re also investing in the future of our cultural landscape.
