Last season, together with our audience, KVS raised more than €5.000 in donations. Every euro was received with care, thoughtfully allocated and invested in projects we strongly believe in: the development of international artistic talent, arts education for young people, and lowering barriers to cultural participation.
Every contribution, large or small, helps us make KVS a place where more people have the opportunity to create art, experience it and make their voices heard.

More than half of the donations (54%) were exceptionally allocated to the RITCS Future Voices Fund. Through this fund, RITCS supports international students who face greater challenges in accessing arts education in Flanders following the recent increase in tuition fees.
As a Brussels-based institution at the heart of an intercultural capital, we strongly believe that the arts become richer when diverse and international voices are given the space to grow and be heard.
Young people also remain a key focus of our work. Through KVS’s schools programme, 25% of the donations were used to bring students into contact with theatre. During the past season, we welcomed and guided 1,377 students during their visit to KVS. Together, we discussed performances, explored the themes they addressed, and discovered how theatre can help us look at the world from different perspectives.

The remaining 21% was dedicated to lowering barriers to theatre attendance. Thanks to this support, we can continue offering a range of programmes and discounted ticket options for people for whom attending theatre is less accessible. In this way, we aim to keep culture open and accessible to as many people as possible.
What connects these three initiatives is a shared conviction: art becomes stronger when more people have the opportunity to participate in it, recognise themselves in it and make their voices heard through it.
Attending a performance also makes a difference. Every ticket you purchase supports not only a production, but also the artists, technicians, production teams and many others who make an evening at the theatre possible.
Anyone who wishes to support our work further can still make an additional donation when purchasing a ticket. In doing so, you directly contribute to projects such as our schools programme, accessibility initiatives and the development of new artistic talent.
And of course, you receive something in return:
An evening filled with stories, encounters, wonder and new perspectives!
