Joburg is fast, Joburg is the future. It’s about Black ways of moving and migrating. About all the ways a body can move, remember, express and create meaning.
A city shaped by struggle, where the traces of apartheid continue to reverberate. Where violence and the intensity of public space meet vibrant forms of togetherness that challenge power and refuse categorisation. Where artists work in fluid collectives, driven by a deeply rooted collaborative ethos.
This artistic vitality lands in Brussels for a month, unfolding across various cultural venues from literature and film to performing arts, photography and music.
