KVS, the city theatre of Brussels, is a meeting place at the crossroads of many worlds — a stage for theatre, dance, music, slam poetry, and more. KVS presents both established names and bold new voices. We embrace the city in all its diversity and aim to be an intercultural, intergenerational, and gender-diverse urban theatre that resonates far beyond Brussels.
Job description
As Online Content Creator // Digital Communications and Social Media Officer, you’ll spread KVS like peanut butter across all possible social channels. TikTok trends, edgy Insta strategies, bold digital ads — you love it all and you’re ready to roll.
Your concrete tasks:
- Together with the communications lead, you’ll shape a digital strategy, including weekly and monthly social media planning based on the KVS programme and current events.
- You’ll manage KVS’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn) and keep them filled with relevant content.
- You’ll design your own posts (visually), shoot and edit short videos, and handle editing tools with ease.
- You’ll suggest content ideas and write copy in three languages (Dutch, French and English). It's essential you can express yourself fluently in Dutch.
- You’ll engage with our online community and handle inappropriate comments with style.
- You’ll set up social media campaigns and digital ads to boost followers, likes, and interaction.
- You’ll collaborate with external photographers, videographers, and content creators (e.g. for takeovers).
- You’ll stay up to date with digital trends, brief the team, and turn new ideas into actual content fast.
Your profile:
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree relevant to the role (communication, journalism, graphic design, etc.).
- You know exactly how social media works, what content works for which audience, and how to tailor it to each platform.
- You have experience with Adobe tools (Photoshop, Premiere, Lightroom) and know your way around in-app tools as well.
- You’re familiar with Meta Business Manager; experience with YouTube ads is a plus.
- You’re a strong writer who can clearly tell a story through images and video.
- You’re passionate about the performing arts. Experience in the sector is a bonus.
- Evening or weekend work doesn’t scare you — you like being where the action is.
- You’re creative and not afraid to share and implement your ideas.
- You’re independent, but thrive in a team setting too.
What we offer:
- A dynamic and warm cultural workplace.
- A temporary contract (full-time or 4/5, negotiable) from September through December 2025.
- Salary according to the CAO Performing Arts PC 304.
- Meal vouchers worth €8 per worked day.
- Public transport pass or bike allowance.
- A pleasant and inspiring work environment.
KVS aims to be an inclusive employer that reflects society. We strongly encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, regardless of gender, origin, or disability.
