KVS is part of OPPORTUNITIES, a European consortium of NGO’s and universities that want to think about migration together.

From Accra in Ghana to Dakar, Gent and Paris, we travelled in search of new ways to interact with each other in an equal, humane manner, and to stop looking at the world through a purely European lens.

The past years were very insightful for the partners. In 2024 the project culminated in Hannibal, an international collaboration between KVS and Théâtre de Liège, Teatre Nacional de Catalunya (Barcelona), Théâtre National Daniel Sorano (Dakar) and Festival O (Rotterdam). After the world premiere in Brussels, the production toured five cities in Senegal, Valchiusella, Rotterdam and Paris. The creation was reinvented and performed each time with local dancers, actors and musicians.

In January of 2025, OPPORTUNITIES highlighted the various ways in which the ‘level telling field’ was used. Besides the results of our research, we also showcased migrant stories, documentaries, TikTok videos, drawings, … during a collective closing event for the project.
