Salavisa European Dance Award

KVS is a proud partner of the Salavisa European Dance Award (SEDA), founded in 2023 by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in honour of Portuguese dancer, teacher and artistic director Jorge Salavisa (1939–2020).
SEDA wants to give choreographers and performers from all over the world more visibility. The award, which comes with €150.000 in prize money, is a powerful launching pad for artists with a unique voice or exceptional talent, who deserve to outgrow their national borders.
In 2024, the Salavisa European Dance Award was awarded for the first time to Dorothée Munyaneza (Rwanda/UK/France) and Idio Chichava (Mozambique).
