WIPCOOP

KVS has been a partner of WIPCOOP, the work in progress cooperation by Mestizo Arts Platform, since 2018. WIPCOOP is the ultimate event for artists, performing arts professionals and spectators to come together and discover new work.

Every year, WIPCOOP presents a full and varied programme, following a philosophy that emphasises collaboration and long-term commitment. The WIPCOOP days signify the start of development projects supported by MAP and various other organisations. This way of working has been proving its value for many years, both for the up-and-coming creators and for the performing arts as a whole.

Over two days, eight works in progress are performed. These performances comprise early-stage creations by artists in search of a network, conversations, or collaborations, in order to further develop their budding ideas.

WIPCOOP has built a sturdy reputation as a powerful collaborative project, bringing together nearly 90 national and international cultural partners and uncovering innovative artistic practices and the diversity of the contemporary cultural sector.
