Who seeks, who finds

All day welcome at KVS

KVS is more than a place to simply catch performances.
It is a house that lives in the city.

From lunch to co-working to afterwork.
From coffee to cocktails, or simply a good conversation.

A Brussels place, deeply rooted in the city, that keeps going even when the theatre goes quiet.

At KVS, you are welcome from morning until after sunset.

During the day at KVS

Coffee, lunch, newspaper and conversations that run on…

From Monday to Friday, you are welcome at the BOX BAR in KVS BOX (Arduinkaai 9, 1st floor). From 10h to 16h, you’ll find coffee in all its forms, characterful teas and refreshing lemonades. Our sandwiches and cakes are homemade, using local Brussels produce — from herbs grown on a rooftop in Anderlecht to beers brewed with Brussels hops.

Inside or on our summer rooftop terrace above the city: you choose how you spend your afternoon.

Keep working via our fast wifi, browse the newspaper or cultural magazines, meet friends, or simply take some me-time. And who knows, our book swap shelf might lead you to your next literary favourite — just enough to make it unmistakably clear that you are the most interesting niche reader in your friend group.

Co-working

Where our KVS Café is located during the colder months, we now offer our very own KVS co-working space. Work, study or brainstorm together in our open space.

For freelancers, students and anyone who works better among people than alone at home. Large tables, flexible setups and always something within reach to support your focus (or procrastination).

No reservation needed. Although we always appreciate a well-timed dramatic entrance.

Later at KVS

The art of lingering

From 16h onwards, life crosses the street to the front of KVS BOL (Lakensestraat 146). During the warmer months, you’ll find our renowned KVS Summer Café there. The perfect spot for an aperitif, cocktails, small bites or an afterwork with colleagues or friends, a drink always within reach. Watch the hurried passers-by who are always somewhere else, while you allow yourself to linger in the moment.

Except on Thursdays, when a little more is allowed…

KVS Thursdays

You can go home after work on Thursday. Or quickly stop by Colruyt (that’s really more of a Friday thing).
Or you head to KVS, because on Thursdays the KVS Summer Café shifts gear.

Vinyl-only DJs take over.
The Repair Café fixes everything that’s broken.
Board games start innocently and end in diplomatic negotiations.

Your friends and colleagues are already there.
The weekend is still just out of reach.
And somewhere in between: an aha-erlebnis. You are exactly where you need to be.

Or you stay home and watch that one series you regret starting, but are now too deep into to abandon.

Your choice...

What’s on the programme?

Exhibitions, Repair Cafés, open mics, vinyl-only DJ sets…

There’s always something going on here. You just need to check when.

Behind the scenes at KVS

Did you know that KVS was once an old weapons arsenal? And that a large part of the building was destroyed by fire in 1955, only to rise from its ashes years later?

If you would like to learn more about KVS and our history, the guided tours by KOREI might be just what you’re looking for. A visit in front of and behind the scenes, with a special focus on architecture, theatre history, and the connection between the city of Brussels and KVS.

Stay a little longer

Although we highly recommend our open house, KVS truly comes to life when the lights in the theatre halls come on. From theatre and performance to music, dance and voices that bring Brussels in as it really is: multilingual, unpredictable and always in motion.

See what’s on. Since you’re already here.
