Who seeks, who finds

Season ’26–’27

With great pride, we present our programme for the 2026–27 theatre season!

We live in a time full of contradictions. While the world accelerates and technology pushes us forward in ways we can no longer fully control, we as human beings seem to find ourselves increasingly at odds with one another. Conflicts, power and the struggle over narratives shape the rhythm of our time.

At KVS, we resolutely choose something else.

For encounter, imagination and humanity.
For stories that open up the world and bring us closer together.

This season, we do so with artists such as Martha Balthazar, Barbara T’Jonck and May Abnet, who question power dynamics in The Powerless, and with Junior Mthombeni, who unflinchingly dissects war and propaganda in Hannibal. We welcome voices from Brussels and beyond, from Nona Demey Gallagher to Carolina Bianchi to Alesandra Seutin.

We make space for artists who search, question and confront. Who invite us to look at power, at ourselves, at history and at the world we live in. With Brussels as a shared starting point.

Welcome to KVS.
Welcome to the 2026–27 season.

19/09/26 – KVS FOYER

BROKEN HOME, MY SHRINE - ALIX KONADU/MOUSSEM & KVS

A multidisciplinary performance about migration and identity. Alix Konadu weaves together two perspectives: those who move, and those who grow up in the echo of that movement.

CECI N’EST PAS NOIRE: ACT II - ALESANDRA SEUTIN/KVS

Alesandra Seutin moves through memory as through a landscape that is constantly changing shape. A search for identity between two worlds where “home” is not fixed, but is continuously felt anew and must be renegotiated.

DON QUIXOTE, WHICH WAS A DREAM - NONA DEMEY GALLAGHER/KVS

A satirical universe full of grotesque, archetypal figures, where politics, (pop) culture and madness are inseparably intertwined. Nona Demey Gallagher is not searching for a grail, but for something that resembles love in a crooked world.

KOSMOS - SEPPE BAEYENS / KANAL-CENTRE POMPIDOU, LEON & KVS

REXIT! (EN FRANÇAIS) - BRUNO VANDEN BROECKE, VALENTIJN DHAENENS & VINCENT STUER / KVS

DE SITCOM - DE HOE

A tragicomic studio where laughter and life constantly misread each other. Where the joke always lands just a little too close to the pain. Where schadenfreude becomes more than a theoretical concept, but a form of sorrowful entertainment.

CADELA FORÇA TRILOGY, CHAPTER III: A CORDIAL LIGHT - CAROLINA BIANCHI, CARA DE CAVOLO & METRO GESTÃO CULTURAL / KVS
