Learning to repair instead of throwing things away? Sounds promising!

Do you have a flat bike tyre or are you a danger on the road because your brakes aren’t working? Is your coffee machine making too much noise, or is your record player showing signs of wear and tear? Bring it to the KVS Repair Café on Wednesday 25 November, between 4pm and 7pm!

Repair Café offers a meeting place for people who are determined to give their broken things a new lease of life. During the Repair Café, we transform our café into a welcoming meeting place for the neighbourhood, where you can come for appliance and bike repairs, board games and a drink. In this co-creative workshop, you’ll get all kinds of tips and tricks to extend the life of your appliances. You’ll gain knowledge that will serve you for years to come. You’ll also learn how to repair your own belongings with the help and tools of volunteer repairers. Sometimes successfully, sometimes not!

Important: repairs of large appliances, as well as microwaves, old TVs, short-circuited or smoking appliances, are not supported.

Knitting & crochet corner with Stitch Stitch Project & Virgo 1040

Brussels-based creatives Stitch Stitch Project and Virgo 1040 are hosting their joint knitting and crochet session with us. Do you enjoy getting creative with wool and needles? Are you looking for a social, welcoming place to work on your ideas? Then come along with your current project (crochet, knitting or any other sewing project) and join Morgan and Solenn for an afternoon of stitching!

We’ll provide some extra materials for anyone who would like to join in with the wool.

Everyone is welcome!
