Platform In De Maak presents four young and ambitious makers on June 13, 2026, from 15:00 to 22:00 at KVS, with the support of Ultima Vez. From afternoon to evening, you are invited to immerse yourself in a new generation of emerging talent.
This edition features works in progress by Lieke Oolders, Regina Janzen, Margherita Dello Sbarba and Rosalie Custers.
Alongside these presentations, you can enjoy a collective meal during our makers day, set within a parcours of artistic creations. Open feedback moments are an essential part of the day, as the makers enter into dialogue with the audience and invite exchange.
Platform In De Maak facilitates a ten-month development trajectory for sixteen emerging makers. Throughout this process, the participants collectively take responsibility for the artistic programme and connect with each other and the wider arts field in a horizontal way, guided by the principle ‘those who engage and organise, create’.
The makers days are an integral part of this artist-run trajectory. On these days, we invite everyone to encounter the works in progress that have emerged from the programme for the very first time.

In collaboration with: Louise Van den Eede, Lennert Castermans and Emma Rotsaert

Fragmentation - Regina Janzen
This creation begins with a question rather than an answer: what does fragmentation feel like from the inside, and how does it shape the way we see the world around us? The starting point is the experience of inner fragmentation: those different, sometimes contradictory parts of ourselves shaped by upbringing, conditioning, patterns of behaviour, and the interplay of light and shadow that lives within each of us. The fractures we perceive externally might simply be a mirror of the ones we carry within.
The research questions guiding this process are: How do these inner fragments express themselves through the body? What does it feel like to live inside that fragmentation: the dissonance, the pulling in different directions, the parts that don't yet speak to each other? And what does integration feel like when it begins to happen: is it harmony, or do we experience resistance?
The work method is investigative. I begin with questions and bring them into the studio as physical material, letting the body become the site of inquiry. Rather than illustrating ideas, I follow what wants to be seen, what resists, what surfaces unexpectedly.
The work draws on personal experience and is informed by Carl Jung's concept of individuation: the process of integrating different aspects of the self, including the shadow, the Anima and Animus. It is an attempt to give form to a living search for embodied wholeness.

to tread the salty deep - Margherita Dello Sbarba
“to tread the salty deep” is a solo performance unfolding between dance, text, and live music. Departing from the siren as a figure of othering, the work traces how the female body has been demonized, eroticized, contained — and how it resists. Focusing on adolescence as a threshold, the piece enters a body newly visible, exposed to desire and danger, yet charged with untamed creative force. Vulnerability and power collide. On stage, a long rope coils like a living creature beside a loop station and bass guitar. Sound is created live, shifting from rough and cutting to soft and tender. The body becomes a site of politics — of domination, domestication, and self-determination. Repetition hypnotizes. Voice and movement vibrates. Developed in collaboration with writer Janina Diller, text and movement activate one another other in an unforgiving, tender descent into hybridity and becoming.
The theater submerges. Let your body sink back next to mine.

FOSFO KAN NIET SLAPEN - Rosalie Custers
Maker/performer: Rosalie Custers; Based upon the book by Dimitri Leue with support by Kristine Marteleur and Kurt De Ruijter.
Biographies
Lieke Oolders
Lieke Oolders is a Dutch actress, writer, performer and light technician, based in Antwerp. Before graduating in Podium- en eventtechniek at RITCS in 2025, she studied at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp, where she graduated with a master in Drama (Kleinkunst) in 2023. Her graduation piece Joncfrouwe, in which she discusses the concepts of masculinity and femininity in a medieval, Arthurian setting, got published by Bebuquin. Joncfrouwe has been performed in several theatres and a week at the festival of Comp.Marius at the Blikfabriek.
For her second self-written piece called Egel, a music-theater piece in collaboration with iSolisti and Johnny Mus, she has again drawn inspiration from older literature to then draw a parallel with the present. She likes to let language guide her work while making very conscious visual choices to let the visual enhance the text. Lieke is part of the interdisciplinary collective Wolfa as light designer and performer and is co-founder of the music- and theatrecollective Jonge Klaren, with which she plays in cafes every month, experimenting with freshly written songs and theatre texts. She is also part of the music-theater production Hamlet Hamletsson, by Compagnie Lodewijk/Louis.
Besides being the frontwoman of her brand new feminist punk band, Lieke has now started working on a new piece together with Louise van den Eede and supported by Platform In De Maak. In this piece, based on works of 19th century Russian writers, she seeks lightness in the midst of turbulent inner and outer worlds.
Regina Janzen
Margherita dello Sbarba
Margherita Dello Sbarba is a choreographer, dancer, and co-founder of Uncanny Paradise vzw. After training as an actress in Italy, she graduated in Contemporary Dance at the University for Music and Dance in Cologne. Her latest creation, A Small World, co-directed with Alexandros Anastasiadis and
developed with the musicians and dancers of Dans Kapot, was co-produced by JazzLab, Kunstencentrum KAAP, Werf Records, and Kunstencentrum NONA, with support from the Flemish Ministry’s Kunstendecreet. Premiering at the 2024 Amok Festival, the piece toured in Belgium and Greece. Margherita is currently working on two new creations: Canon of Love, a duet with Alexandros Anastasiadis, and Sirene, her upcoming solo, supported by RADAR and Platform In De Maak.
Her artistic practice focuses on feminist ecologies and always explores interdisciplinary collaborations, with disciplines like architecture, visual art, music and literature. Her work is characterized by a strong visual esthetic which evokes sensory and poetic landscapes, welcoming non-human elements to expand the experience of human emotion. In Canon of Love, rivers become an expressive metaphor for love, while Sirene shapes a hybrid world—natural and industrial, woman-animal, human-plant—where erotic female energy can emerge.
Beyond her choreographic work, Margherita fosters artistic exchange by organizing and facilitating FEED!, a monthly feedback event, and POLLINATE, a jam for musicians and dancers. She is deeply committed to cultivating collaborative, less individualistic modes of artistic practice. As a performer, Margherita has worked with choreographers including Ceren Oran, Sonia Franken, Julia Riera, and Smadar Goshen. Since 2024, she has been dancing with Nyash/Caroline Cornelis.
Rosalie Custers
Rosalie Custers is a theatre maker and cabaret artist, born in 2002 in Antwerp and raised among microphones, dressing rooms and the glow of backstage lights. Her mother sang backing vocals, her father handled the technical side. At home, the stage was never far away.
In 2020, she moved to Den Bosch to study cabaret at the Koningstheateracademie. There, she learned how to nudge gently with humour and scream through silence. In 2024, she graduated, and she is now touring with VAAS — a performance about silence, concealment and everything that rustles in between. The jury described it as “disarming, vulnerable, without moralistic fuss — an invitation to listen.” Or as she puts it herself: an ode to everything we don’t say but do feel, a reminder of how human we all are, through music, language, disarmament and warm-hearted
humour. In 2023, she was elected Antwerp’s very first City Comedian — complete with a golden toaster as a trophy, and a year filled with videos, texts and nonsense with just enough sense for Gazet van Antwerpen and Arenberg.
Today, she performs solo, or together with colleague Thirze Rebergen as the duo Die Andere Twee, or she happily joins other people’s productions, working on stage or behind the scenes on performances, events and festivals.
As long as it makes her heart happy!
