In t e r r i t o r i o, a four-day festival featuring readings, showcases and three full-fledged plays, KVS and Europalia present a taste of the Spanish arts.

Together, we’ll uncover artistic surprises outside of the major cities like Madrid and Barcelona, because Spain has so much more to offer. Each of the seventeen autonomous regions boast their own inventive arts centres and artists, who engage deeply with their distinctive surroundings.

Some examples? An arts centre built from containers in the port of Algeciras, long considered a challenging area in Europe due to its close proximity to Africa. A contemporary dance festival in the rural villages of Castilla-La Mancha. Or Navarra, where a festival was conceived from the wisdom and philosophy of the forests.

KVS has been working closely with Spanish theatres and companies for a while now, in the form of coproductions, showcasing works in one another’s theatres and artist residencies, … We discovered the enormous diversity withing the performing arts landscape in Spain.
